County League Rules

If any dates need to be changed both teams need to agree, and the Competitions Secretary Matt Pownall must be informed.

2 rinks at home 2 rinks away (TRIPLES).

There will be NO trial ends, the game will consist of a 16-end game. Max 3.5-hour game.

There will be NO dead ends, RE-SPOTS are to be used.

If a team is 3 players short they will forfeit a rink and it’s point, plus 10 shots.

If a team fails to field a full rink, 2 players may play but with only 6 bowls. The triple team's lead plays 3 bowls against the others team's lead. The triple team's number two plays 3 bowls consecutively, as he has no opposition. Both skips then bowl as usual one after the other.

The Match must start no later than 20 minutes after the official start time. The starting team(s) remain for the duration of the match, no changes allowed.

All other rules to follow EIBA guidelines. Any queries speak to the NIBA Competitions Secretary Matt Pownall.

Dress code – Club colours.

Scoring - 1 point will be awarded for each winning rink, ½ point for a tie and 1 point for an overall win.

In the event of a tied position in the final League Table, the result of the game between the two teams concerned will be the deciding factor.  If no decision after this the overall shots difference will decide.
